iOS 27 holds more features than Apple initially promised. Industry insiders believe this. What functions the iPhone company has not yet announced for the major software update.

The WWDC has, as expected, revealed many software innovations from Apple. Also as expected, the revamped Siri with its own app was in the spotlight of the event. In comparison, the innovations for iOS 27 almost went unnoticed. This is also believed to be because Apple is holding back some features.
iOS 27: Are There More Innovations?
At least industry insider Mark Gurman from Bloomberg believes so. He emphasizes that Apple has so far withheld three innovations for iOS 27. First up are two smaller innovations. On one hand, there will be a new watch face for the Apple Watch Ultra. This is a revised version of the exclusive watch face that can already be used on the watches.
Instead of two rows of so-called complications, which are additional information and shortcuts, there will only be one. However, the time display is expected to be slightly larger and thus more readable. On the other hand, Apple is reportedly working on a new camera app under iOS 27. Instead of rigid, predefined menus, the app will rely on a modular structure.
iPhone users will be able to assemble their own menu from a range of categories, where features like aperture and night mode can be found. This is designed to give you quicker access to the functions that are truly important to you when taking photos with the iPhone. The third and largest innovation concerns Siri and Apple Intelligence.
Even before WWDC, there was speculation that Apple users would soon be able to choose which AI powers Siri and co. Gurman still believes after the event that Apple is committed to this innovation. In the beta of iOS 27, the first hints of the feature have already been discovered. Users can choose between Siri and ChatGPT in the menus.
However, the announcement might have distracted from Siri being at the center of the presentation. Additionally, Apple avoids confusion about why even more models are being integrated into iOS 27. After all, Google's Gemini also serves as the AI basis for Siri. When the innovations will ultimately be presented or released is not yet known.
