Jimmy Donaldson, as MrBeast, has already broken several records on the platform. In November 2022, he became the most subscribed individual creator on YouTube. By June 2024, he achieved this status across all channels.

As reported in a blog post by YouTube, MrBeast has now set a new record: On Friday, June 12, 2026, Donaldson became the first person to reach 500 million subscribers.
MrBeast captured the moment when the subscriber count jumped from 499,999,999 to 500 million in a live video lasting over an hour and a half, complete with a confetti shower. As of June 13, the YouTube video has been viewed over twelve million times.
Typically, the videos on his channel garner anywhere from several hundred million to over a billion views. MrBeast specializes in hosting high-stakes, sometimes dangerous challenges. His biggest success to date is the video "$456,000 Squid Game In Real Life!", which is approaching one billion views.
The audience of the 28-year-old is largely very young. According to a report by Tubefilter, around 40 percent of his subscribers are between 13 and 17 years old, while another 20 percent are between 18 and 25 years old.
Net Worth of Approximately 2.6 Billion Dollars
Thanks to his success, Donaldson has built a billion-dollar company. His personal fortune is estimated by Fortune to exceed 2.6 billion dollars. Most of this wealth comes from his stake in Beast Industries.
However, according to his own statements, Donaldson claims to be constantly broke, as he assured the Wall Street Journal in January 2026. He stated that he often has to borrow money. Theoretically, every person watching his videos has more money available than he does, as he cannot afford breakfast in the morning from the money his company is worth on paper.
MrBeast as the Highest-Paid YouTuber in 2025
These claims are contradicted by estimates from Forbes, which state that Donaldson was the highest-paid YouTuber and content creator in 2025. He reportedly made 73 million euros in revenue, according to Promiflash.
In addition to clicks and sponsorships, a significant amount of money also comes from his chocolate brand Feastables (214 million euros in revenue in 2024). His snack brand Lunchly and the analytics tool Viewstats also contribute to his income.
However, Donaldson claims that he invests most of the money. His elaborate challenges reportedly caused a production company to incur losses in 2024.
