Neura Robotics has raised $1.4 billion in a funding round – a record. Companies like Amazon, Nvidia, Bosch, and Schaeffler participated. The funds will be directed towards the production of AI-driven humanoid robots.

According to David Reger, CEO of the German robotics startup Neura Robotics, robots could soon perform tasks in every household or assist in caregiving. To properly train its AI-driven robots, the company plans to open a kind of "gym" for robots in collaboration with the Technical University of Munich by mid-2026.

Funding Round Brings $1.4 Billion

Neura Robotics has an ambitious goal: by 2030, the startup aims to produce "several million" robots and expand from Europe to the USA, China, and Japan. The necessary capital has now been raised in a Series C funding round.

Prominent investors such as Amazon, Qualcomm, Nvidia, Tether, Bosch, Schaeffler, and the European Investment Bank are set to invest up to $1.4 billion in the startup, according to a statement. This marks the largest funding round for a full-stack robotics company globally, as reported by Gründerszene.

Record Sum for German Startup

Moreover, no German startup has previously raised such a high amount. Neura Robotics had previously raised nearly $290 million from investors, according to Handelsblatt.

The actual amount of money flowing in this current funding round is said to depend on achieving a series of goals. The company did not disclose what these goals are, nor did it comment on its valuation post-investment.

Neura Robotics Valued at $7 Billion

According to CNBC, citing internal sources, Neura Robotics is now valued at around $7 billion. This would make the company, founded in 2019 in Metzingen, one of the most valuable tech startups in Europe.

The total amount of global investments in robotics startups reached $55.8 billion in the first five and a half months of 2026. This is a new record and nearly double the amount from the previous year.

European Robotics Startups on the Rise

Most of the money, according to CNBC, flowed into US or Chinese robotics startups. However, there are also other companies in Europe, besides Neura Robotics, that are of interest to tech investors. This includes the Munich-based industrial robot startup Agile Robots.

Founded in 2018, the DLR spin-off is reportedly in talks for a funding round worth $800 million. Existing major investor Softbank is said to want to contribute $300 million of that amount alone.
