Easily Edit PDFs Directly in WhatsApp

WhatsApp has rolled out exciting new features aimed at enhancing user experience within the messaging app. Among the most notable updates is the ability for users to log in directly on their iPads and edit PDFs right within the app, albeit with some limitations.

As previously reported, WhatsApp users can now set up the messenger app directly on iPadOS without needing to link it to a smartphone. This means that WhatsApp can now be utilized independently on the iPad.

WhatsApp: A Range of New Features

The update for the iPad app is just one of several new features being introduced by WhatsApp. While these enhancements may be minor, they are designed to make everyday usage more convenient, as stated by the Meta-owned platform.

In addition to the iPad update, WhatsApp has expanded its PDF editing capabilities. Users receiving a PDF file via chat can now make minor edits, such as underlining or highlighting, directly within the app. This functionality eliminates the need to download the file or open it in another program. Meta is collaborating with Adobe Acrobat to bring this feature to users.

However, it is important to note that the new PDF editing feature is currently only available on WhatsApp Web and the desktop app, with no access yet for mobile devices like smartphones or tablets. The company has not disclosed when these platforms will receive the improved PDF management capabilities.

Furthermore, WhatsApp has enhanced its app for use in vehicles. Users can now listen to and respond to messages through both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Making calls will also be possible via voice commands or through the vehicle's display.

Share Music in Status

Another new feature draws inspiration from Instagram, allowing users to share songs from Apple Music or Spotify in their status updates. This makes it easier for friends to discover what music someone is currently enjoying with just a few taps.
