US President Donald Trump earned approximately $2.2 billion in 2025. Of that, $1.4 billion is said to have come from crypto deals. An expert describes Trump's income as "completely unprecedented."

Since the beginning of his second term, US President Donald Trump has significantly increased his wealth. According to a listing of his income submitted to the US Office of Government Ethics, around $2.2 billion was added in 2025.

Author: Trump's Income Completely Unprecedented

In 2024, Trump's earnings were "only" around $622 million, as reported by the New York Times. Author Megan Gorman, who has written a book on the wealth of US presidents over the past 250 years, called Trump's income "completely unprecedented."

HAD EX-PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN needed about eleven pages for his 2023 income declaration, Trump's list was 927 pages long. Notably, the earnings from crypto deals amounted to $1.4 billion in 2025, according to ORF.at.

From Crypto Opponent to Crypto Fan

Once a staunch opponent of crypto, Trump entered the crypto business big time with his family at the end of 2024. His stake in the crypto company World Liberty Financial was reportedly valued at $500 million according to his income declaration. The firm, co-founded by Trump's sons Eric and Donald Trump Jr., sold half of its shares to an investment firm in 2025.

Trump is said to have earned another $635 million from royalties for so-called Celebrations Coins, tradable meme coins. Just before taking office in January 2025, Trump launched his own meme coin. In the first months after the launch, the Trump meme coin reportedly brought in around $1 billion for the US president, according to Forbes. However, the coin's value plummeted after a brief hype phase.

Millions from Real Estate Deals

In addition to crypto deals, Trump earned several hundred million dollars in real estate. For instance, he reportedly made around $77 million from his Mar-a-Lago club. The golf club in Florida contributed another $122 million. Millions also flowed in from licensing agreements with foreign real estate developers using his name for projects.

Lawsuits against media and other companies like ABC, CBS, and Meta also proved lucrative. Settlements are said to have brought Trump around $80 million. Additional millions came from royalties for merchandise items such as watches, sneakers, and Bibles featuring the Trump logo.

Trump and the White House deny any conflicts of interest raised by critics. According to Forbes, Trump's wealth is currently estimated at around $6 billion.
